‘The News’ playfully responds to the curated way we receive information online. Hand-sculpted from clay, a medium that like newspapers is slow and directly contrasts with the speed in which we absorb our online newsfeeds.
With optimistic humour, ‘The News’ critiques our relationship with subjective news and the resulting anxieties.

The News was selected as a finalist in the 2022 Deakin University Small Sculpture Prize.
