One Hundred Ice-Creams
2023
One Hundred Ice-creams consists of one hundred individually hand-sculpted ceramic glazed and painted ice-cream sculptures representing Australian frozen classics from across the decades. This nostalgic series evokes childhood memories and suspends in time that fleeting moment of anticipation between unwrapping and taking the first bite.
Originally created for the exhibition Australiana: Designing a Nation, curated by Emma Busowsky and presented at the Bendigo Art Gallery from March 18 to June 25, 2023. The series later travelled to Townsville, Queensland, where it was exhibited in the Yucky Yum Yum exhibition at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery from November 30, 2024 to March 9, 2025.
The original edition of this series has been acquired in its entirety into the Bendigo Art Gallery collection.
