Nightly News, 2012
On March 18th, 2011, I watched the Channel Ten six o’clock news and wrote a poem, reflecting on the jarring way unrelated topics are clumsily thrown towards the viewer.
Musician Nelson Walkom turned my poem into a song, and together we made this video.
The video was included in the 2013 CHANNELS Australian Video Art exhibition and screened at ACMI, (the Australian Centre for Moving Image).
This work also featured in a 2013 essay by Jared Davis titled Video Visions, published on pages 8 to 12 of the CHANNELS catalogue. Here is an excerpt;
